Went here during lunch and all door where shut. Sign said open but no one was home. Place didn't even look like they've had a customer in 20 years. I would avoid

We walked in and walked out! So we were guided to go here by google maps after searching โChinese foodโ on the mapโฆit seemed promising. We arrive, no sign or anything to confirm so we walked into the bowling alley and instantly, it smelled like bowling alley and Chinese foodโฆfirst red flag. Next, we walk in and we are like hmmโฆwhere is the food and like are we even in the right place?! We see the counter and the women says she can only accommodate take out and the menu was super limited. No thanks we left. The photos seemed to show something more.

I was super excited to find this place! I think I've seen this place listed as China Place, and I'm glad it showed up on google as Taiwan place. Taiwanese food is unique in it's complexity and history of different ingredients and cooking styles from it's history of colonialism. I got Oyster Omelette and Taiwanese Meatball (bawan), #1 and #2. The Taiwanese meatball is delicious, and full of the correct ratios of meat and bamboo. It's a tapioca wrap with fillings! The Oyster Omelette tasted good too, with a sweet orange red tangy sauce. I don't know the name of this sauce, but it's authentic to my time in Taiwan. There was a good amount of oysters in the omelette! The difference was there was more vegetables in it than I expected. Overall, I wish this place was closer to me and that they were more people visiting this place! From what I've had so far, it's pretty authentic food. I was concerned about the menu being large and the freshness of the ingredients; since it seems like the restaurant is not very busy, but that was not an issue at all. The place is take out only!

Surprisingly good (southern)Taiwanese food! Pork rib over rice, and thickened pork soup tastes authentic and brings me right back home! Waiting to try more items on the menu!

Great food and service! This place could use some TLC though, it looks like it has seen better days. Hopefully more People come here. Would recommend! P.S. the photos shown were taken at the Asbury park dog beach, not at the site of the restaurant.
